Expert were approached to design a solution to fix the problem of the lack of physical security on the loading bay entrance at Houndshill Shopping Centre. We installed security upgrades to their site, optimising delivery access as well as increasing security to pedestrians in the built up area with a bi folding gate.

The area around Houndshill Shopping Centre is a busy high street in the centre of Blackpool with a high volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. In these circumstances, and with the lack of additional manoevering space, there was no room to install traditional automatic sliding gates. Additionally the existing vehicle barrier did not prevent pedestrians from accessing this area, presenting an increased security risk to the bay, as well as a safety issue for the pedestrians.

A wide range of alternate infills are available to suit customers’ requirements and to match adjoining fencing design. It is possible to incorporate spiked tops, warning lights and sirens to bi fold gates if required.

The system is controlled by a GSM intercom allowing authorised deliveries to enter the loading bay area when required.
