A common problem at school premises is unauthorised vehicles encroaching on to the car park, particularly at times of heavy traffic like the morning drop off. Parking issues like this can often be solved by introducing a security barrier like automatic sliding gates or security turnstiles. The main hazard in this situation is to pedestrians attempting to gain passage across the car park area, and protecting pedestrians was our priority.

We consulted with our team, and with Balfour Beatty Utility Services who were working in the area, and it was decided that the best solution in this case was an Automatic Security Barrier. Balfour Beatty installed the power cable free of charge in this instance, which was a huge help in the installation for this project.
