Q) I am unsure about what system is best for my site?

There are usually several solutions to securing your site. We aim to offer you a few solutions with a cost breakdown that allows you to select which option is affordable and most suited to your site requirements. Q) Will my security system be safe?

Yes. Expert Security systems are fully compliant with todays BS and CE standards and are fitted with all required safety equipment relevant to the product fitted on your site.

Q) Can I integrate my existing access control system with my new system?

In most cases the answer would be yes. We use several trusted suppliers that enables us to supply & install a wide variety of access control systems. This allows you to continue to use any current proximity cards or tags that are already in use at your site. Your Expert sales representative will be able to discuss this in more detail.

Q) What if I have a mains power failure?

All products will either be

"fail open" meaning the product will open on power failure or be able to be opened manually

"fail secure" meaning the product will remain locked on power failure. In this case the product will have a manual override facility usually controlled via a key or lever.

Q) Do I get any maintenance with my new security system?

Yes. All Expert Security Systems UK Installs come with a full 12 months maintenance that covers the client for any call outs or faults within the first year that are not down to misuse or vandalism. Q) Do I need a Maintenance Contract?

Yes. It is a British Standards requirement (BS12453) that the end user of automatic systems and industrial doors have a Bi-Annual service of safety systems carried out by a competent body. Expert offer two types of maintenance packages. A Gold Contract and a Platinum Contract. Please see our maintenance section for further information.
