That’s why in 2013, Danny Scholfield, Ryan Scholfield and Matthew McClellan founded Expert Security UK in Bury, Greater Manchester. With 35 years of collective security experience under their belts, they’ve made it their mission to be the one-stop security provider that can design, install and maintain cost-effective security systems for business throughout the UK.
Expert Security UK today
Today, Expert Security UK provides high-tech systems for businesses all over the UK. We work with both commercial and domestic clientele, installing high-tech systems in sectors that include education, government, logistics, construction and engineering.
We’re committed to providing a professional, efficient and consistent service for all our clients, from the first call to the last. That’s how we’ve been able to work on so many fundamental security projects up and down the country. These projects ensure the security of thousands of people and allow them to work in a safe environment.
Our strong reputation means that today we provide bespoke security systems to some of the country’s leading institutions, including Warburtons, British Aerospace, and the NHS.
Our directors
Danny Scholfield
Having worked in marketing for over 15 years, Danny developed a real passion for sales. After studying Business and Marketing at university, Danny joined a national security company and worked as a key accounts manager. He quickly became recognised as a trusted security professional and worked on many high-profile security projects within the UK.
Ryan Scholfield
Ryan has worked on-site in his early years as a security system installer and progressed to sales with an established security company. Since founding Expert Security UK, Ryan has been crucial in developing key accounts and growing the business, especially within the logistics sector.
Matthew McClellan
With a background in engineering, Matthew has worked as a project manager within the security industry since leaving the University of Leeds. Matthew’s experience designing security systems and access control has allowed him to add to the company’s product portfolio which has seen Expert Security UK install some exciting new systems around the country.
Meet the team
As well as the company directors we have an excellent team of committed and dedicated managers.
Anthony Duffy: Project Manager — Anthony has 15 years of experience in installing and commissioning gate and barrier systems. Anthony is now a project manager working closely with our clients ensuring that every job is managed professionally from start to finish.
Leah Booth: Project Co-ordinator — Leah joined our team in 2017 as a projects coordinator working with our projects managers and customers. Her experience in project management is second to none after a successful career with a highly established construction company.
Ryan Horrocks: Head of Maintenance and Services — Ryan manages our Maintenance and Service department. With over 10 years hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining security gates, barriers and turnstiles, Ryan has continued to grow his department year-on-year. Thanks to his hard work, we now have over 60 clients over the UK benefiting from our service packages.
Wendy Baxendale: Finance Manager – Wendy ensures everyone we deal with has a stress-free experience by expertly managing our finances.
Jen Green: Sales Manager – Our latest addition to our experienced sales department, Jen has over 8 years experience in sales and customer care beginning her career at British Gas where she was responsible for training hundreds of staff year after year.
In addition to our management team, we have five fully-trained installation teams who are experienced in installing security products as well as a number of maintenance and service engineers.
